The city of Truth or Consequences sits on top of a large, underground geothermal water basin. The downtown Hot Water District is filled with unique settings for soaking in hot springs. There are hotels with hot spring tubs inside their rooms, there are scenic outdoor tubs on the Rio Grande, earthy indoor tubs with hot water bubbling straight up from the ground, there’s spa-style tubs with fancier decor, and simpler tubs with soak-by-the-hour rates.
There are also Airbnb/vacation rentals—hidden jewels—with their own private hot springs tub, where you can soak to your heart’s content.
